Where Are We?

Buzz Bee's Babes

We awoke to find no sign of Cashbook's return.

As we had no idea of what we would do, and because it was the only place where we could afford to continue drinking, we headed straight to Millers again for our 'usual', at our usual table. After another intensive blog writing session we were exhausted and weary of the bar surroundings and our financial situation. The local cinema provided the perfect escape from our problems and after seeing the 'scariest movie of all time', Paranormal Activity 2 (it wasn't scary) we were still eager not to face reality, and so ended up watching another film; Red. A simple and charming action film. After our marathon movie session, we headed back to Millers.

There was a halloween costume competition kicking off as a precursor to the official ceremony the following evening. Contenders for the prize could be seen dotted around the bar with the likes of Beaker, the Care Bears, an iPod silhouette, and Braveheart all eagerly sipping drinks, awaiting the judges' decision. We sat at the bar, drowning our sorrows in another pitcher as the winner was announced. The poorly costumed champion strolled up to the announcer, and as we slurped the last dregs of our beers, we realized the gravity of the competition: The winner collected his cash prize of $500 (!!!)

We looked at eachother and without a word, we had formulated a plan that didn't even require that little traitor, Cashbook...we had just found the solution to all our budgetary problems.

Perched at the bar, we discussed our tactics, within moments we had a plan for the next evening. Our elation soon attracted a Dragon Butterfly and Bumblebee; two losers from the night's competition. The two girls were adhering to the recognised approach of using Halloween as an excuse to dress up as provocatively as possible, with fishnets and corsets making up their outfits. Once we had found out the girls met playing soccer, Tom was lost for hours in an in depth discussion with Tori, covering the world cup, Stamford Bridge, Landon Donovan and beyond. She was the one.

After a few free drinks provided by the bar to our new costumed pals, they accepted an invitation to meet Spot and join us for an impromptu football session in car park. Much hilarity ensued, but just as we were about to pounce and bundle them into the van, they clocked onto the plan and swiftly declared they were heading off to the strip. We watched them run screaming across the car park then settled down for a night in the van with visions of cash prizes for our infinitely awesome costumes the following evening.
